about

Roshi Nasehi (Roshi Featuring Pars Radio)

Described by Mixmag as “one of the most singular voices working at the moment”, Roshi, who led this project with Dash n Dem, is a Welsh-Iranian musician and sound artist of considerable pedigree. She has worked with, among others, Pere Ubu and Suns Of Arqa as well as her own critically acclaimed project Roshi Featuring Pars Radio. Her treatment of 24 Colours' “Tortured Soul” dispels the Gothic, post-Cocteaus miasma of the original and reconstructs it from her own, looped vocals, a simple but devastating feat of live technology that recalls Laurie Anderson.
